London September 2016

The second country of my trip was England. Here I spent most of my time in London with a quick trip to Egham for lunch with a friend, and a day trip to Oxford, the city of dreaming spires and a prestigious university. I quickly became accustomed to the London Tube system, which at first seemed like a foreign language to me, and by the last day I knew I would miss hearing "mind the gap" all the time. I got to see many monuments and historic buildings as well as go up in the London Eye to see an exquisite panoramic view of the city. I got to walk through Buckingham Palace seeing the beautiful place the Queen calls her home. I went on a street art tour in East London where I got to see incredible pieces of work and learn a lot about the history of East London. I shared new experiences with my EF College Break family including exploring Camden Market, the British Museum, and Tate Modern. We also danced around as we made our way from pub to pub on our Pub Crawl. We even took a trip to Hogwarts by way of Platform 9 and 3/4 at Kings Cross Station. I loved every minute of London and can't wait to go back to see more!
